This means she cant go to Noah, her boyfriends house, for his annual Christmas smorgasbord. Story 1: Jubilee, yes thats her name, is forced to take a train to Florida to stay with her grandparents when her parents are arrested after a riot breaks out at the annual Flobie Santa Village sale&you know those little village models that people collect. This is the premise that binds three original stories by three great writers: John Green ( Paper Chase), Maureen Johnson ( Suite Scarlett) and Lauren Myracle ( Bliss). Its just what I needed after reading a heavy-duty fantasy.Ī major snow storm on the East Coast began on the day before Christmas and continued throughout Christmas Day. Told with an easy familiarity, there is droll humor to lighten what could otherwise have been a dark, depressing tale of our world fifty years hence, after a great and terribly destructive war. Both Tami and Tracker are likable, honorable and charismatic. This story drew me in from the first page. Hungry and bone-weary, Tami’s stamina is almost totally depleted by the time Tracker discovers her hidden camp. ![]() Also, she is being followed, tracked by a man with skills that rival her own. Before the plane crash, she taught survivalist training, but she is little prepared for the desolation and emptiness of the austere land. Tracker takes the generous payment and sets out on a rescue mission. The distraught husband explains that his new, beloved wife has been kidnapped – spirited away by marauders. ![]() Quiet and deadly, Tracker just accepted a commission to find Tami. She survived a plane crash only to discover that her world, as she knew it, is gone. ![]() Battered, exhausted, and frightened, Tami has just escaped from four delusional men all claiming to be her husband. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Club similarly said of Fey, "The artistry of her autobiography-turned-polemic raises the bar for every comedian who dares put cursor to Word doc."
